What does consciousness even mean?Consciousness is the practice of being fully awake to your inner world—your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and conditioned beliefs—so you can respond to life with clarity, rather than react from old wounds. In parenting, it means noticing your triggers, understanding where they come from, and choosing to respond with presence instead of reacting from pain.

Why would I see Maya instead of a traditional therapist?While coaching and therapy may overlap, they serve different purposes. Therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental illness, and can sometimes circle around past trauma without offering a clear way forward. Coaching with Maya is different. Yes, we look at your past—but not to stay there. Instead, we use it as a gateway to uncover what’s shaping your present, so you can move forward with clarity and purpose. This work goes deeper than analysis. It listens for the quiet whispers of your soul, strengthens your inner knowing, and helps you reconnect with the wisdom already inside you. It’s not about fixing you—it’s about finding you.

My child isn't little anymore. What's the point?Absolutely! Parents are always connected to their children - no matter how old they are. It is never too late to impact change in the parent-child relationship! Not only that, this work is about the personal evolution of the parent, and there is always value in that!

Does my partner, spouse, or co-parent need coaching too?Perhaps, but in reality it is not always possible because it depends on the other person's susceptibility to change. In this line of work, we honour every person's timeline without judgement. A child only needs one parent to practice Conscious Parenting. In most cases the other partner absorbs it as well, once they see how well it works!

I don't have a kid, but I do have a partner/spouse. Have I come to the wrong place?Definitely not! You don’t need to be a parent to for this work to be transformational! Our relationships—whether with a partner, friend, sibling, or coworker—are powerful mirrors. They reveal hidden patterns, emotional wounds, and unconscious beliefs that shape how we connect, communicate, and respond. Together, we’ll explore the deeper dynamics at play in your relationship and you'll learn to make choices aligned with your truest self

Will you talk to my kids, too?Conscious Parenting isn't really about your kids, it's about you. It's about shifting what's not working in your home via your own personal shifts. There may be cases when speaking to your kids will be helpful, but that will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

I bought a package. How often will we meet?10-14 days between sessions is the sweet spot. It gives you enough time to integrate, practice, and contemplate after each session.

Online or in-person?Sessions are offered online and in-person. Booking through the calendar will show you which options are currently open and help you choose what works best for you.

How many sessions will I need?In our initial meeting we will talk about a plan that best suits your needs. Various options are available, however, I recommend a minimum of 6 sessions to start.

I don't know anything about consciousness, and I'm a little intimidated.That's ok! It's natural to feel nervous when embarking on uncharted territory. Maya will always meet you where you're at, without judgment. Maya's deepest priority is to create a safe space for you to explore within.
